Like other financial institutions, Capital One will handle all cases fairly under the guidelines that have been issued by the Financial Ombudsman. Under these guidelines the company will undertake to give a decision on your case within 8 weeks of receiving your original PPI complaint. Before then you will normally receive an acknowledgement letter confirming they are looking at your PPI claim shortly after you send it to them.

You can either write to Capital One using a PPI template letter or use the Financial Ombudsman’s claim form.

There is no time limit to reclaim PPI from Capital One and you do not still need to be an existing customer.

Capital One no longer sell PPI to either new or existing customers.
